Does depicting motion mean depicting life?

Motion is invisible: is art capable of showing it?

We are continuously in motion: the Earth (with us on it) is constantly spinning on its axis and orbiting around the Sun, the cells in our bodies are alive, forever growing and changing. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, art finally manages to depict this perpetual change.
